Connecting with Yourself: Knowing Your Inner Voice

As we’ve been exploring over the past several weeks, when it comes to connecting to yourself, there are several cues to pay attention to and observe. One of the most important is knowing what you sound like. By this, I mean: are you familiar with your inner voice? Of course, the inner voice, that of your truest self, is not a literal voice. It is a quiet sense, much like your intuition, of what serves you and will help you thrive. You may sense it in the form of thoughts that are kind, uplifting, and honest about who you are. It can be challenging to get to know this part of yourself, but you can start by learning what kinds of thoughts are not your inner self, and then considering what alternative steps you can take to get to the truth.
