Finding The Right Support

Finding the right support is critical to reaching and maintaining lifestyle goals and changes. Friends and family can offer support and encouragement to help motivate you and highlight your achievements. As your coach, I’m here to help you develop and track goals that are best for you (a topic discussed previously- see reason 1).

For most, having a friend or “buddy” that is making similar changes in his or her life is helpful for brainstorming different ways of finding motivation or trying new challenges. For example, if you and a friend go to the gym together after work for a week, a happy hour drink together is a way to reward yourselves. Also, meeting a friend can make you more accountable to making it to the gym or park. Holding yourself accountable is also an important factor that I will discuss in my next post.
