Connecting with Yourself: Taking Steps toward Tending to Yourself

Let me ask you this: How is your relationship with yourself today? In my last video, we explored what it looks like when it’s not as strong as it could be, and touched upon how easy it is to get caught up in what others want from you or what you think you should do. Learning how to connect with yourself is not a skill that is often taught. Some people learn it in childhood, but many others don’t, and have to figure it out later in life. No matter your age or life stage, it’s important to start where you are, so you become more aware of what your true needs are, which is something I frequently help my clients with as we often forget what our optimal needs actually are. So let’s look at what actions you can take to more fully tend to yourself. What are some simple ways that you can push past the expectations and pressures around you?
