How to Be More of Yourself


Last time, we talked about the nagging feeling of never being good enough, and how it can work itself into your life. Specifically, how it can make you tend toward overcommitment and perfectionism, and live a smaller life than you’re truly capable of living.

Today, I want to address how you can deal with these effects, and start moving in a direction that lets you be true to yourself.

If you are a high achiever, chances are this feeling has become so normal that you almost don’t notice it. But what you may have noticed are those outward effects that come from trying to make yourself feel worthy. Sometimes this can show up in the form of burnout; other times it can be as serious as a physical illness.

Whatever shape it takes, it’s definitely a sign to turn in a different direction. What are some ways to do that?
