The Right Plan

Pick a plan that’s right for you. Setting healthier goals for ourselves is important and knowing personal needs and abilities is crucial to developing the most appropriate and effective path to a better lifestyle. To explicate, one of my clients decided to go for a run every morning before work. However, she hated mornings causing it to be her lowest energy point of the day. Additionally, she went into work at different times each day making it difficult to develop a consistent workout routine. Together, we found the solution to be running in the evenings instead. The cooler temperatures allowed her to enjoy the workout more and by waiting until after work, she discovered her husband was a great running partner who helped motivate her and keep her accountable. Everyone is unique and thus our goals should reflect our individual needs and abilities. Think about what motivates you and begin by making small changes. Eventually, healthier choices will become a natural part of your new lifestyle.
