As part of the ongoing series, “The Power of Routines”, Pamela Biasca Losada Health Coach recently interviewed Lynn M. Lennon and Richmond Brain Therapy, LLC, to learn about routine habits she promotes for herself and her business.
Pamela: What are your health and wellness routines?
Lynn: “I find it important to practice daily health and wellness routines. I practice Earthing and strive to catch as much sunlight as possible. One of the major benefits of seeing the sunrise and sunset daily is that it programs one’s circadian biology. I make it a point to drink non-fluoridated water since fluoride can largely impact your electrical health in a negative way. My diet consists of whole foods that are low grain and low in carbohydrates. I make sure that I am consuming healthy fats, lots of proteins, DHA-rich foods, nuts, seeds, and copious amounts of colorful vegetables. Over the last few months, I have not had any alcohol and drink many forms of tea with small consumptions of coffee, every now and then.Exercising is a large part of my daily routine. Often, my running consists of long endurance "base training" runs and shorter tabata/interval style running. From time to time, I'll take walks with ankle and wrist weights for weight training. To further benefit my health, I avoid endocrine disrupting chemicals and do HearthMath, which aids Vagal training and lower stress levels. I'm an avid meditator with a heavy focus on mitochondrial health. I aim to be asleep by 10 p.m., so my sleep regime normally consists of me waking up between 3 a.m. and 5 a.m. to study or workout with a stepper/free weights before my family wakes up.”
Pamela: What motivates you to accomplish your goals?
Lynn: “In 2007, after years of chronic pain from fibromyalgia and excessive morphine doses from being overweight & unhappy, I had a major epiphany and completely turned my health around. My health and my kids became my main source of motivation. I have two sons, 16 and 25 years of age. My sixteen year old has special-needs with a complex and challenging medical history. Being a 47 year old, single mother, I have accepted these challenges and live by the motto of "not believing in excuses". I am the sole proprietor of Richmond Brain Therapy, LLC, which focuses on nuerofeedback, neuroplastic coaching, and general health & wellness coaching for the brain. From these hardships, I have opened my own business, ran two Olympic distance triathlons, and continue to live a healthy lifestyle.”
