Establishing Personal Accountability

The fourth post for “1 of 5 Reasons Why Falling Off the Wagon Prevails” focuses on the question, “Are you holding yourself accountable?” To view the introduction post follow this link: https://www.pamelabiascalosada.com/single-post/2017/04/18/5-Reasons-Why-Falling-Off-the-Wagon-Prevails

Without a system of accountability, falling off the wagon is inevitable. Moreover, a system of rewards is the most impactful motivational tool, but be sure to choose rewards that are in line with your new healthy lifestyle. Examples of holding yourself accountable could be setting small goals for the book you want to finish, or the project at work that has been neglected, and rewarding yourself with an episode of television or trip to the park with friends or family. The system can be for short term goals: getting work done within the hour, before lunch, or by the end of the day, or long term: by the end of the week, month, quarter, etc.

Holding yourself accountable will ensure you not only reach your goals, but maintain a new, healthier way of life. Together, we can discover which systems work best for you, and how to best implement them into your new way of living.
